1. Is extended warranty eligibility confirmed against the vehicle's age, mileage, and service history before an offer is made — ensuring only eligible vehicles are presented?

2. Is the standard warranty expiry date or the remaining manufacturer warranty period established before the extended warranty conversation begins?

3. Is the extended warranty's coverage scope explained specifically — what mechanical and electrical components are covered, what is excluded, and whether the coverage mirrors or differs from the original manufacturer warranty?

4. Is the exclusion list explained clearly to the customer, particularly for high-value items (gearbox, hybrid/EV components, wear items) where customer expectation may exceed actual coverage?

5. Is pricing presented transparently — as a total single payment and as a monthly equivalent if financed — with no element of the cost obscured?

6. Is the customer's consent to purchase confirmed in writing, with the extended warranty provider, coverage period, and premium stated on the signed document?

7. Is the extended warranty policy activated in the provider's system on the day of sale, not left pending until after the customer collects the vehicle?

8. Are warranty documents and policy confirmation provided to the customer at the point of delivery or within a defined period of purchase?

9. Is the customer given a point of contact for extended warranty claims — the warranty provider's claims line, not just the dealership — so they know how to proceed if an issue arises?

10. Is the customer informed of any conditions required to maintain warranty validity (e.g., servicing at an authorised workshop, oil specification)?
