What this guidebook covers
Under the LISOS, occupational risk prevention (PRL) fines reach €983,736. After an accident the company also pays a 30–50% surcharge on Social Security benefits, which cannot be insured. The ITSS (Labour Inspectorate) can stop work, and those responsible face up to 3 years in prison.
This guidebook covers 6 PRL standards for workshops and dealers, with 18 checkpoints: a risk assessment that includes electric vehicles, training and PPE, lifts and equipment, paint and chemicals, pits and housekeeping, and accidents reported on time. The guidebook PDF is in Spanish.

How to run a Spanish occupational risk prevention audit, step by step
- Confirm what applies. Confirm the company's prevention arrangement (in-house or external prevention service) and that the risk assessment covers the workshop, body and paint, parts and high-voltage electric vehicles.
- Walk the site, standard by standard. Score each of the 18 checkpoints Pass, Fail or N/A. N/A only where the standard rules it out, with the reason recorded. Compare the risk assessment with the workshop, watch the workshop for 30 minutes, check the lift maintenance log and the paint area, and compare sick leave with Delt@ accident reports.
- Capture the evidence. A pass counts only with proof captured at the time of the audit: the risk assessment and prevention plan, training and PPE records, the lift maintenance log and tags, safety data sheets, photos and Delt@ accident reports.
- Give every fail an owner and a fix time. Record what you saw and who owns the fix. Each standard carries an ideal fix time, from immediate to 30 days, counted from audit submission (see the table above).
- Fix it, then prove it. The site fixes the cause and uploads proof of closure; the auditor checks the proof before closing the finding.
- Re-check at the next audit. Confirm closed findings stay closed, and look for the same fail at your other sites so one gap doesn't repeat across the network.
