1. Is a documented EV emergency response procedure available in the EV service bay, covering the specific steps for electrical shock, battery thermal event, and battery fire?
2. Is the EV emergency response procedure specific to the vehicle brands and battery chemistries serviced at the dealership — not a generic EV safety document that does not reflect the actual vehicles?
3. Are all workshop staff — not only HV-certified technicians — briefed on the EV emergency response procedure, and able to describe the key steps when checked?
4. Is the emergency response procedure posted visibly in the EV bay and accessible without needing to search for it during an incident?
5. Is an isolation zone defined for EV thermal events, with a minimum safe distance from a thermal runaway vehicle marked or documented, and staff trained on keeping clear?
6. Are evacuation routes from the EV service bay clear, unobstructed, and known to all staff in the workshop?
7. Is emergency services contact information (fire brigade number, ambulance, on-site first aid) posted in the EV bay with specific guidance that EV battery fires may require extended response — not conventional extinguisher use?
8. Is appropriate fire suppression equipment for EV battery fires available in or adjacent to the EV bay — including the means to apply sustained water cooling if required for the battery chemistry in use?
9. Is the evacuation and emergency response procedure practiced through a drill at least once per year, with EV-specific scenarios included?
10. Are first responders (fire service, ambulance) in the local area known to the dealership's safety officer, with any pre-engagement or information-sharing completed to support an effective response?
