1. Is the dealer's state-issued motor vehicle dealer license current and valid, with the most recent renewal confirmation on file?
2. Does the dealer license cover all transaction types conducted at the location (new vehicle sales, used vehicle sales, wholesale, finance)?
3. Is the dealer license displayed in the required location at the dealership, visible to customers and regulatory inspectors?
4. Is the surety bond in the required amount current, with the bond confirmed with the bonding company and a copy on file?
5. Are all sales personnel who are required to be individually licensed by the state confirmed as holding current licenses?
6. Are state-specific record-keeping requirements met — including deal jacket retention, title processing timelines, and temporary registration issuance records?
7. Is the dealer's display lot compliant with state requirements (minimum number of spaces, signage, operating hours posting)?
8. Are temporary tags/permits issued in compliance with state regulations — with correct expiry dates, accurate vehicle information, and no issuance of tags for vehicles not in the deal?
9. Is the title processing timeline met for every transaction — confirming title applications are submitted within the state-required number of days from the date of sale?
10. Is the odometer disclosure statement completed accurately for every used vehicle sale, signed by both buyer and seller?
